This is an edited re-post which is essential to the understanding of what the individual mind is, only with that key can one correctly overstand what the Group Mind is. The group mind is not as stated a collective consciousness. The use of the words mind and consciousness as descriptions of the cognitive process or thinking is a blind, i.e. code switching; which ignores the distinction between the two concepts and keeps the masses /laymen scratching dey heads in perpetual confusion.
I am constantly learning about the Wave Theorem because oddly enough It teaches about itself. How so? Waves are the fundamental state of all that is. Waves carry knowledge. Waves move and they are attracted to or repelled by each other, people or objects in an exchange of energy and information.
The mind is a receiver and a transmitter of waves. The human aura is an energy field and sheild. Our intentions whether positive, neutral, or negative, i.e. to the greater good, indifferent to the greater good or opposed to it, modulate the frequency of our thoughts as they pass through our aura and are ejected /projected like arrows from our holographic field into the collective group dynamic.
Mind sends and receives thoughts like a TV tuner on various "channels" or wavelengths. Mind is a messenger. Messages go in and out. The mind processes information that comes in and stores it in files or memory clusters. The computer we have on our desks and laps as well as smaller processors used in other electronic gizmos was "modeled" on the functions of the human mind and nervous system.
The mind is said to have "intelligence" which is actually a misnomer. The mind posseses only memory or an ability to recall, to bring back up on it's screen previously encountered information and images. It can keep information in context when making a sentence, answering a query, giving directions, etc. True intelligence is not the same as I.Q. which is a quotient or numerical evaluation of comprehensive recall or memory. Intelligence is born from the heart. It is the ability to perceive subtle distinctions that are beyond superficial appearance in persons and phenomena.
Mind is not the same as consciousness. Most people use the terms "consciousness" and "mind" interchangeably but this is in error. Consciousness using the analogy of a computer is the direction or flow of information in and out of the system on the back of energy or electrical pulsation. The mind's power like the computer has to be plugged into life force which is it's energy source! If one does not maintain a base level of life-force, the mind will not "work".
So what is consciousness? For all its advances and knowledge, modern neuroscience cannot decide what consciousness exactly is; it can only speak of its effects. The loose starting definition I use for consciousness is I AM; or the primary self-generated & and self oriented energy field. This field is comprised of an "original awareness" a Self-awareness that is ancient, continous, immortal and completely developed but is modified in the individual according to their body and the personal experiences of their incarnation. The result is a gestalt, as experience is imprinted upon consciousness which over time creates an alignment, a positional stance that either "opens" up or closes down access to the information streaming beyond the box of "group think."
Mind divides to classify and categorize information. It is not the mind that decides how to apply information. Consciousness intergrates many different experiences into an "over"standing pattern, i.e. a standing wave. This standing wave is a frequency that determines how information acquired outside the agency of mind can be applied to a paradigm or system.
