Get a waterproof bowl or container.
Fill it with water to which you have added 1 drop of blue food dye or coloring and a pinch of salt.
Place in it a small plastic boat that will float.
Put this at the head of your bed before retiring.
Have easy access to pen and paper or microcassette to record any dreams or astral travels.
After writing or recording your experiences upon waking throw the water in vessel down the toilet.
Wash out container, and rinse off the boat to prepare for next usage
